Miss A recently turned 7 and to celebrate I am inviting a number of her friends and their mothers to a tea party. There's nothing like playing ladies for the afternoon!

Linda Roberston

Following a recent morning sojourn to have an amused perusal of the Bald Archies, I dropped into a local gallery on my way home. After viewing the current pieces on display, my heart leapt when I spied this tucked away in a corner. Entitled Dancer 2, it is one in a series of three by Melbourne artist Linda Roberts.

I just LOVE the movement and energy in this image, not to mention the ochre and brown tones - in person these are much more vibrant and clear.

I like to think that if we hadn't unexpectedly replaced our hot water system the previous day, this lovely lady might have been mine :-)
